Determination and Persistence

Determination and Persistence
This is a real life story of engineer John Roebling building the Brooklyn Bridge in New York, USA back in 1870. The bridge was completed in 1883, after 13 years.

In 1883, a creative engineer named John Roebling was inspired by an idea to build a spectacular bridge connecting New York with the Long Island. However bridge building experts throughout the world thought that this was an impossible feat and told Roebling to forget the idea. It just could not be done. It was not practical. It had never been done before.

Roebling could not ignore the vision he had in his mind of this bridge. He thought about it all the time and he knew deep in his heart that it could be done. He just had to share the dream with someone else. After much discussion and persuasion he managed to convince his son Washington, an up and coming engineer, that the bridge in fact could be built.

Working together for the first time, the father and son developed concepts of how it could be accomplished and how the obstacles could be overcome. With great excitement and inspiration, and the headiness of a wild challenge before them, they hired their crew and began to build their dream bridge.

The project started well, but when it was only a few months underway a tragic accident on the site took the life of John Roebling. Washington was also injured and left with a certain amount of brain damage, which resulted in him not being able to talk or walk.

"We told them so." "Crazy men and their crazy dreams." "It's foolish to chase wild visions."
Everyone had a negative comment to make and felt that the project should be scrapped since the Roeblings were the only ones who knew how the bridge could be built.

In spite of his handicap Washington was never discouraged and still had a burning desire to complete the bridge and his mind was still as sharp as ever. He tried to inspire and pass on his enthusiasm to some of his friends, but they were too daunted by the task.

As he lay on his bed in his hospital room, with the sunlight streaming through the windows, a gentle breeze blew the flimsy white curtains apart and he was able to see the sky and the tops of the trees outside for just a moment.

It seemed that there was a message for him not to give up. Suddenly an idea hit him. All he could do was move one finger and he decided to make the best use of it. By moving this, he slowly developed a code of communication with his wife.

He touched his wife's arm with that finger, indicating to her that he wanted her to call the engineers again. Then he used the same method of tapping her arm to tell the engineers what to do. It seemed foolish but the project was under way again.

For 13 years Washington tapped out his instructions with his finger on his wife's arm, until the bridge was finally completed. Today the spectacular Brooklyn Bridge stands in all its glory as a tribute to the triumph of one man's indomitable spirit and his determination not to be defeated by circumstances. It is also a tribute to the engineers and their teamwork, and to their faith in a man who was considered mad by half the world. It stands too as a tangible monument to the love and devotion of his wife who for 13 long years patiently decoded the messages of her husband and told the engineers what to do.

Perhaps this is one of the best examples of a never-say-die attitude that overcomes a terrible physical handicap and achieves an impossible goal.

Often when we face obstacles in our day-to-day life, our hurdles seem very small in comparison to what many others have to face. The Brooklyn Bridge shows us that dreams that seem impossible can be realized with determination and persistence, no matter what the odds are.

5 Ways to Make Your Own Website & Have It Stand Out on the Net

5 Ways to Make Your Own Website &
Have It Stand Out on the Net

If your want another way of helping your VitaMist Business explode do an introductory Profile page of your own and link it to the company site.

1. Tell your own story.
The web can be an impersonal place. People can't see you or hear you and all they know about you is what you include on your website about yourself. The only personal information most people include on their MLM site is their name, phone number and e-mail address. That's not much to base a relationship on, is it?

So one obvious way to differentiate your site from all the others is to include more personal information about yourself -- in other words -- tell your story. After all, people like to do business with people that they like and trust and can relate to.

So go ahead and include a picture of yourself on your site. Tell them why you chose your company, what you like about the products and the results you've had with the products and your MLM background. If you have an extensive MLM background or professional credentials be sure to include that information too, along with anything else that is special about the services you offer or the system you use.

2. Use a theme or target a niche market.
Using a theme or targeting a niche market as a foundation for your site is another way to make it really stand out from the crowd. What's a good theme or niche? Here are some ideas to get you started. Some niche markets are: stay at home moms, downsized middle managers, women, men, generation Xers, baby boomers, and seniors. Some themes are: boating/sailing, auto-racing, mountain-climbing, sports.

* Special Tip: Pick a niche that you are a part of - this will make it easier for you to figure out what that group's needs and wants are and also make it easier for them to identify with you.

3. Publish a regular newsletter with valuable information.
Offering a free newsletter is a great way to keep in touch with people that visit your site. Make sure your newsletter has a good focus and theme and excellent content. Make it clear to your visitors that you are offering more than just a regular sales pitch. Make it easy to subscribe and be sure that you stick to a regular publishing schedule. If you need articles for your newsletter, feel free to take your articles from our upcoming emails

4. Use a domain name.
There is no doubt that using your own .com domain name for your site will increase its effectiveness. Using a domain name makes your site look more professional and is easier for people to remember. Unfortunately, a lot of people on the net have a perception that people who use these free websites to host their site are not as professional or as credible as those with a domain name of their own. After all who would you have more confidence in: someone with a site named yoursite.com/hosted.by.xyz.com or one called toyourheath.com. Unfair as it might seem, this is not an image that you want to project. People will wonder why you can't afford your own domain site. Also free sites often require you to have banner ads for other companies on your site or have annoying pop-up ad windows open on top of your page.

* Special Tip
: Be sure to pick a name that is easy to say and understand over the phone.

5. Do some market research.
Simply go to your favorite search engines and search for as many websites as you can find about your niche. Then go to each website and look it over and write down what you like about the site. Then use this list to create and/or modify your own website. You can't copy sites of course, but you can get good ideas that you can improve or change and make your own.

We Passed!

We Passed!!!
These seven tips for choosing the right network marketing companies and MLM's come from "The 5 Lessons a Millionaire Taught Me About Life and Wealth" by Richard Paul Evans, New York Times bestselling author.
There are seven tips to use when picking a great home-based network marketing or MLM business.

1. Low Start-Up Cost
Be wary of any company asking for more than $200 to join. Legitimate companies do not try to make their profits on start-up fees. (VitaMist has no start-up cost.  All we ask is that you use the products).

2. Guarantee

Pay close attention to the company guarantee. Will they buy back the product? Under what circumstances is the product guaranteed? This is an indication of whether the company's goal is to make money off their distributors or to help their distributors make money. (VitaMist's guarantee is an unconditional money-back guarantee).

3. A Legitimate Product
Avoid companies that offer pills and potions with exaggerated claims of health benefits. Recently, several companies have come under scrutiny from the FDA for claiming cures for everything from cancer to HIV. (VitaMist is proven by science, not by hype. Remember, USA, PDR, USP, 26 years).
    4. Value
Many times, MLM's have expensive products that can be purchased for substantially less through traditional sales channels.  (VitaMist is the world's only Patented Spray Vitamin that is guaranteed to work).

5. The Company Should Focus More on Product Sales Than Recruiting

(VitaMist's motto is People, Product, and Plan.  We know that the more people we help reach their dreams, the faster we will reach ours).

6. Avoid Companies With Complex Compensation Plans and Difficult Qualifications
Some MLM compensation plans are as difficult to understand as the U.S. Tax Code in Chinese. These plans often have hidden qualifications that literally "rob the poor to give to the rich." Look for straightforward, honest, fair compensation plans. (VitaMist bases your commissions on tubes and straight money. We have NO: PV, BV, GV, CV, and Points. You can figure your commissions with pencil and paper).

7. If The Company or A Distributor of The Company Claims You Can Become Rich Without Working, Run for Cover

(It is Called Network Marketing, not Net Do Nothing. With VitaMist you can become rich, have fun, and reap the rewards. All you have to do is to HELP OTHERS).

Sincerely,

William Deihl

How many times have you heard the term “B-Complex”?

How many times have you heard the term “B-Complex”? Probably thousands.
We are giving you some information about what this term means and also some tips about the benefits of certain “B-complex” vitamins.
To some people, the name suggests that “B-Complex” is one very complicated vitamin, but this is not the case. There are actually eight B vitamins that are in the B complex, as well as a few other related substances. The eight vitamins that make up the B complex are thiamine or vitamin B1, riboflavin or vitamin B2, niacin or vitamin B3, pyridoxine or vitamin B6, cobalamine or vitamin B12, folic acid, pantothenic acid and biotin. The other related substances that are also in the B complex vitamin include choline, inositol and para-aminobenzoic acid.
Every part of the B complex vitamin performs its own individual function within the body. Because the B complex comprises vitamins which are water soluble it is essential that enough of these vitamins are consumed on a daily basis. The body cannot store water soluble vitamins such as the B complex and this leads to a regular intake being required.
The vitamins of the B complex are extremely beneficial for a number of conditions and may be needed in additional quantities at certain times in a person's life.
Many people suffer from anxiety and stress at one time or another and research has found that B complex vitamins can be beneficial in helping alleviate the symptoms of anxiety and stress (VitaMist D-Stress), and if a person has been unwell the B complex can be extremely valuable in aiding the recovery process.
Fatigue can be a symptom of a multitude of illnesses as well as simply overdoing things, but again, the B vitamins (VitaMist B12) can help alleviate general tiredness and lethargy.

Interestingly, some skin conditions, such as dermatitis, and also the condition of the hair, can benefit from B complex vitamin intake, and making sure you get a good intake of B-vitamins on a daily basis may help alleviate these conditions (VitaMist Multiple).

A Recipe for Good Grades

A Recipe for Good Grades

Children and parents alike know that to do well in school, you need to pay attention in class and do your homework.  But have you thought about this - good nutrition and physical activity also affect children's grades.

Kids who eat regular, healthy meals, snacks and take theirvitamins have better attention spans than their classmates who don't.  They score higher on tests and they are less likely to get into trouble.

Organizing regular, healthy meals, snacks and use VitaMist for the whole family doesn't need to be complicated.

  • Start by keeping plenty of fruits, veggies and whole grains on hand.
  • Choose one meal or snack that needs improvement, and brainstorm how to improve food choices.
  • Then, set goals to make the needed changes.
  • Choose VitaMist Children multiple
Often the first meal to go missing from adult's and children's diets is breakfast.  However, kids who eat breakfast every day score better on tests, behave better, keep their weight under control, and have better strength and endurance.  Not surprisingly, adults benefit similarly by eating breakfast.

Many people complain that they are not hungry first thing in the morning or that they don't have time for breakfast.  The following ideas can be prepared quickly and can either be eaten on the way to work or school or as a mid-morning snack:

  • Blend fresh or frozen fruit with milk, yogurt or soft tofu for a tasty fruit smoothie (make a large batch for the whole family)
  • Eat leftovers - Yes, breakfast can have beans or beef in it!
  • Enjoy a few pieces of fresh fruit and some almonds
  • Slice some cheese and tomato onto a rice cake
  • Try a hardboiled egg and pita bread (boil several eggs at the start of the week and keep in the fridge)
  • How about a peach and some Fig Newton cookies?
  • Munch a bunch of trail mix - cereal mixed with dried fruit and nuts
  • Mix cereal with fruit yogurt
Another key to good grades is being active.  Kids who are more physically fit are shown to score better on standardized math and reading tests.  Other benefits of getting active (for adults too!) include better concentration, memory and mood.

Get active by:

  • Getting outside - go to the park, the backyard or the beach with friends.  Kids are naturally active outside.  Take a lesson from them and let yourself move too.
  • Turning off the TV! - at least begin by changing 30 minutes of daily TV or computer time into active time

Also, parents remember that kids learn more from what you do than what you say. Make sure you eat healthy foods, avoid skipping meals, and get moving!

Thank you,

Dr. Clive Spray

Advertise for free: by word of mouth

Advertise for free: by word of mouth
By word of mouth is the best way to advertise for free.

A friend tells you that he had just had his roof redone by a company that was very good, and not too expensive. If you were looking for someone to redo your roof would you go with this company or would you look in the yellow pages to find a different one? Of course you would go with the company your friend suggested. That's the power of word of mouth Advertising. It is the most influential and cheapest advertising method you will ever find.

There are two ways to promote your Business by word of mouth, get others to talk about you and talk about yourself. We will start with getting others to talk about you. The best way to do this is to surpass your customer's expectations. You can do this in simple ways. For instance, a flower shop may include a single rose with an order of a large bouquet. If this is not advertised but just a surprising extra it is sure to get talked about. You will have a few Customers order bouquets wondering if they will get an extra. When they do they will be delighted and will pass on the word that the little flower shop gives more for your money.

A similar way to get talked about is to tell lively stories. You know the kind that people can't help but repeating. If you don't have any, listen to others. When you hear them tell a funny story that you think might amuse your customers jot down a couple notes that will jog your memory later on. Keep these in good taste and always positive so that your image will remain that way. When people repeat these stories they will be asked where they heard them and then your business will be mentioned and many conversations will turn to talking about what you do.

Another way to get people talking about you is to provide extra information. This can be information about the history of your business. If you are a small town success, costumers often feel like contributors to your success when they know your story. And if it is a story worth repeating it will be. Other information you can provide are ways to save customers money or get them noticed. People will share this information with associates and your business will be mentioned, if this happens often enough people will begin to think that you have a fantastic company.

Many companies hand out advertising material, like pens, rulers, magnets. If you would like to hand something out, give away something that is unusual and that will get talked about. Give away an product Necklace, a license plate cover or something else that is sure to get noticed and talked about.

Now for some ways you can enter your business into conversations. When Meeting someone new you will probably ask something like, "So what do you do?" the person will tell you and then ask you the same question. The key here is to ask them first. That way there is more time to talk about your business, because they are not sitting there waiting to tell you what you do. Make your job sound as interesting and useful as possible, and they will remember it.

Another way to enter your business into conversations is to look for ties. Listen to the conversation and subtly insert comments like, "yes just the other day I got a call like that from one of my customers," or "I went through a similar experience just when I was starting my own business." Keep your comments positive, no gossiping here. Gossips will get a bad reputation quickly. You may get talked about, but you may also get labeled as the business to avoid.

Keep your comments positive and compliment your customers. When they leave they will remember the good feeling they got from you and will refer friends and family to you.

Using this method of advertising will get you more customers and cut down on your advertising expenses. Good luck.
